Limited Growth?

John F. Kennedy believed that “Conformity is the jailer of freedom and the enemy of growth.” And I believe Kennedy was right, don’t you?

“Growth is never mere chance; it is the result of multiple forces working together.” And, “Without continual growth, the words progress, improvement, achievement and success have no meaning.”

Today conformity is the norm. Nobody wants to rock the boat, be different, or act unusual. In fact, everybody seems to want to do what everybody else is doing. Interestingly enough the most common question asked of McFie Insuranceis, “Why isn’t everybody else doing this?”

But freedom compels us to be, plan and act differently than everybody else. Otherwise you’re a slave, not free. The great news is that once freedom is experienced there is no going back to normal.

The late author of Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill stated, “Strength and growth come only through continuous effort and struggle.” According to David Hume the late Scottish economist, “Scholastic learning…retards growth.” That is definitely the case today as academic theory and learning have economically destroyed us because there is little practical application for the learning and theory derived in scholastic erudition.

President Ronald Reagan comprehended the model that made America great when he stated, “There are no limits to growth because there are no limits to human intelligence, imagination and wonder.” So why do people permit and even want their growth to be stymied and managed so they can “be like everybody else”?

Even asking this question conjures up fear in those who don’t properly assess the value of freedom over the cost of normality. As Marilyn Ferguson alleges, “…the other side of every fear is freedom”. And while we all can easily understand and excuse the fear of a child in the dark, it becomes a real tragedy when adults are afraid of the light emitted by truth and logic.

In an effort to dispel this irrational fear of the light, all of us at McFie Insurancecontinue to passionately expose truth and logic to those who are eagerly looking for something beyond normal. As Rosa Parks, a notable figure to the civil rights’ movement, powerfully noted, “I have learned over the years that when one’s mind is made up, this diminishes fear; knowing what must be done does away with fear.”

You see, once people can fathom what is truly possible (freedom) being normal is no longer acceptable. Freedom puts meaning back into the words progress, improvement, achievement and success because freedom releases you from the jailhouse of conformity. Therefore, as Franklin Roosevelt fittingly said, “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.” Fear stifles your thinking. It creates indecisiveness and stagnation. Most people would rather procrastinate than risk failure. But these lost opportunities destroy your confidence. And once your confidence begins to erode you are trapped in a downward spiral that can only be eradicated by growth.

Don’t limit your growth! Pick up the phone and call 702-660-7000 to discover how you can stop normal and become more successful today.
